Introduction

Stainless steel hammer mill for coarse grinding of grains, feed, biomass and dry raw materials. Free-swinging hammers break the material against a screen, giving a robust and forgiving grind at high throughput.

The interchangeable screen sets the output size between 2 and 10 mm. Power from 7.5 to 55 kW covers farm-scale feed milling up to industrial biomass and grain processing, and the mill can be supplied with hopper, cyclone and filter.

Details

Free-swinging hammers

Hammers pivot on the rotor shaft, so a hard object is pushed aside instead of jamming the mill. Hammer tips are reversible and replaceable in sets.

Interchangeable screen

Perforated screens from 2 to 10 mm are held in a drawer frame. A screen change takes minutes and does not require rebalancing the rotor.

Balanced rotor assembly

The rotor is balanced after assembly and runs in a heavy-duty bearing housing, which keeps vibration low at the higher end of the 7.5 to 55 kW range.

Air-assisted discharge

Air flow through the mill carries ground material out through the screen and into a cyclone or bin, so the chamber does not clog on light or fibrous material.
