A pin mill grinds by impact rather than by pressure. Two discs face each other inside the chamber: one carries concentric rings of pins and turns at high speed, the other is fixed. Material enters at the centre of the rotating disc, is thrown outward by centrifugal force and breaks as the pin rows pass each other. Output fineness from 10 to 120 mesh is set by rotor speed together with the screen or classifier at the outlet.
Capacity runs from 50 to 1200 kg/h across the 200 to 1000 model range, with drives from 2.2 to 30 kW. The mill is fed by a dosing feeder, screw or gravity chute and discharges into a cyclone, a bag filter or directly to the screening and packing stage, so it works as a standalone unit or as the grinding stage of a closed line. Contact parts are available in carbon steel, SUS304 or SUS316L, and dimensions are built to the project.
